Help Moms Stop The Murders: Words & Bullets

Help Moms Stop The Murders: Words & Bullets

Words & Bullets

A soldier was finally coming home after having fought in Vietnam. He called his parents from San Francisco.

"Mom and Dad, I'm coming home, but I've a favor to ask. I have a friend I'd like to bring home with me."

"Sure," they replied, "We'd love to meet him."

"There's something you should know the son continued, "He was hurt pretty badly in the fighting. He stepped on a land mind and lost an arm and a leg. He has nowhere else to go, and I want him to come and live with us."

His parents paused for few moments and said, “But who is going to look after that patient, cook for him, clean his clothes, etc. Do we need to get a dedicated aide to look after him? It would add to our limited budget!!”

A cold chill ran down the soldier’s spine hearing those words. After a moment’s silence accompanied with a tear he slowly said, “I can’t come back home Mom, ever….”

Moral of the story: Words and bullets should be carefully let out because you rarely get the chance to rectify it & the damage it causes is irrevocable.
